THE BIG CHALLENGE NINE AWARDS

I was at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria for the Big Challenge Nine Awards hosted by David Grey MBE, Group Managing Director of OSL Group Holdings Ltd and Chair of the Big Challenge Steering Group.

The event was sponsored by Sheffield City Council, DLA Piper, Yorkshire Bank, Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Sheffield, Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, BHP Chartered Accountants, Henry Boot Construction, Panache Lingerie, SIV Ltd and Made in Sheffield. It was a fabulous evening with twelve finalists shortlisted from an original 99 entries who together made £13,749 profit! The awards went to:

Best Continuing Business: 'Funny But True' from Meadowhead School.
Shining Star Award: Naomi Thomas from High Storrs School.
Best Final Report: 'Unlit Threads' from Sheffield High School.
Made in Sheffield Award: 'On Fire' from Stocksbridge High School.
Champion's Award: '5 Leaf Clover' from Sheffield Springs Academy.
Best Website: 'Student Essentials' from Westfield School.
Biggest Profit Made: 'On Fire' from Stocksbridge High School.
Best Presentation: 'Floral Essence' from Bradfield School.

The Key Stage Awards went to:

Key Stage 3: 'On Fire' from Stocksbridge High School.
Key Stage Four: '5 Leaf Clover' from Sheffield Springs Academy.
Post 16: 'Craft Mania Puppets' from Sheffield College.

The overall Winner of Big Challenge Nine and the Big Trip to Warsaw was 'On Fire' from Stocksbridge High School!!

Congratulations to Millie, Isobel and Megan, the 'On Fire' team, and all the others winners!
Roll on 'Big Challenge Ten'.
