Bradfield School

I spent the morning today at Bradfield School in North Sheffield.

Ian Gilbert, the school's deputy headteacher is passionate about the STEM agenda and had arranged for me to meet some of his extraordinary colleagues. The school is a specialist STEM school and they have developed a skills framework that operates across the curriculum and are doing some wonderful project-based learning. All Ian's colleagues talked passionately about the school, the STEM agenda and the things they were already doing in this highly successful school. They were full of great ideas and could see the opportunities the Cutlers 'Made in Sheffield' project provided for them to grow and develop their provision and practice.

It was a fantastic morning at a school clearly going places with its new building, its Academy conversion plans and its plans for a sixth form. Exciting times!
