Set your goals!

We all know that setting goals and personal targets is a vital tool for anyone who wants to achieve anything. It gives us our long-term vision as well as helping with our Motivation an focus in the short-term...

Clearly defined goals and targets help us measure and constantly and consistently celebrate our our achievements and make us focus on the areas where we are not achieving great outcomes.
People talk about quality and consistency as key issues for schools, but so much of what we are doing in schools across the country is world class, outstanding and extra-ordinary and whatever anyone says we have achieved great things over the last ten years. All organisations struggle with that long seemingly pointless grind as you move towards the barely adequate but we must search for and nurture a culture of success and recognise and celebrate the exceptional wherever we can find it if we want to see passion, progress and remarkable outcomes.  Colleagues who are trusted, empowered and passionately believe in what they are doing will be energised to release their magic. We must work with discipline, rigour and focus to raise our colleagues self-esteem and self-confidence, and help them recognise their ability and potential.

We must set ourselves goals which link all our actions to achieving world class outcomes for children and young people. The first step is to consider what you want to achieve; what you want to do with your wild and precious life now, tomorrow or 10 years into the future.
